Feelings in the Forest:
Parent & Child Nature Series
Tuesdays 10:45 am - 12 Noon
Suggested Age: 2+
(infant siblings welcome)
What if learning about emotions felt like an adventure instead of another thing to "work on"?
Join Yasmeen for six weeks of exploring, playing, creating, wondering, and getting a little muddy as we discover how nature can help us understand our feelings, calm our nervous systems, and strengthen the connection between parent and child.
Each week will include hands-on nature activities, games, stories, movement, mindfulness, time for curiosity and play. Along the way, parents will learn practical tools to better understand their child's nervous system (and their own), while children build emotional awareness in ways that feel natural, engaging, and fun.
Yasmeen Faraj is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, former teacher, and owner of Kinda Crunchy Therapy. Her work blends somatic therapy, nature, and play. She believes some of our deepest healing happens when we slow down, get outside, and connect—with ourselves, our children, and the world around us.
*families can register for 1 session at a time but are strongly encouraged to join for the entirety of the 6 week program to promote community and routine for all participants*
